PURCHASING AN EARLY DEER LICENSE
Deer license
purchases made early in the year do not include any antlerless harvest
authorizations. Please inform customers they will be available later around mid-summer (TBD). They may
redeem them for free online at Gowild.wi.gov or in person at a DNR Service Center. They may also obtain
them from a license agent for a $2 processing fee.
WHAT CAN A CUSTOMER CARRY AS THEIR LICENSE?
If a customer is fishing on the Great Lakes or boundary waters between states, they must carry their paper copy of their fishing license. Otherwise they may carry their Go Wild Conservation Card or Wisconsin driver license, provided their verified driver license number is on file in their record. Customers may check the printed paper license to find out if they may use their Wisconsin driver license. Note: Out of state driver licenses are not valid to use as license proof.
